1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected when you create an account
• Character backgrounds — names, descriptions, and other details about your TTRPG characters that you enter into the app
• Session transcripts — text transcripts generated from your session audio, stored so you can access your chronicles

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, errors encountered, and general interaction patterns. Used to improve the product.

Information collected via third parties:

• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only a confirmation of successful payment and your Stripe customer ID.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve Chronicle Party
• Send you product updates, feature announcements, and newsletters (you may unsubscribe at any time)
• Send transactional emails such as feedback confirmations
• Respond to support requests and feedback
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Third-Party Services

Chronicle Party uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Anthropic — AI text generation (transcripts and character data are sent to Anthropic's API for processing)
• AssemblyAI — audio transcription
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — application hosting
• Mailchimp — newsletter and marketing email
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email

6. Children's Privacy

Chronicle Party is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice within the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
